Safety, reliability, and the modernization of our distribution network remain our top priorities. Our infrastructure plays a strategic role in supporting the decarbonization of the Czech energy sector, and we are committed to operating as a stable and responsible company. By protecting the environment, upholding ethical business practices, and systematically reducing our carbon footprint, we strengthen the long-term sustainability of our business. Our clearly defined ESG strategy guides these efforts and ensures continued progress.
In 2024, GasNet made significant progress toward its ESG goals, as confirmed by ratings from two internationally recognized agencies, Sustainalytics and GRESB.
Sustainalytics once again ranked GasNet among companies with low risk. In fact, we were placed among the top five gas companies worldwide in their global comparison. Sustainalytics evaluates more than 15,000 companies across 42 industries, assessing environmental, social, and governance risks, and benchmarking results within each sector.
GRESB highlighted in particular our advances in environmental performance. Our overall score improved by 8 points year-on-year, reaching 95 out of 100. This achievement earned us 4 out of 5 stars in the overall ranking. GRESB’s methodology evaluates 13 areas and benchmarks the results of over 700 companies worldwide.
Further details on these results, along with our broader ESG activities, are available in the GasNet Sustainability Report 2024. For the first time, the report also voluntarily integrates the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), adopted by the European Commission.
